Responsibilities

Candidates must have substantial experience in the courtroom, in the area of creditors’ rights and consumer laws (both state and federal), in drafting forms and in performing legal research
Administrative responsibilities will include preparing forms and developing processes
Attorney will also have full litigation responsibilities including review of correspondence, review of files to determine whether they are suit appropriate, review and/or approval of all pleadings, motions and discovery, and attend all types of hearings and trials in a high volume environment
Additionally, candidates should be knowledgeable in post judgment remedies including attachment and garnishment
Attorney will be responsible for managing high-volume docket of civil litigation cases in the area of debt-collection through all phases of litigation from commencement through post-judgment actions

Qualification

Required

Must have bar admission in North Carolina. Preference will be given to attorneys who are licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize and organize high volumes of information
Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
A Juris Doctor law degree
3 to 5 years of experience as a general litigation attorney
Substantial experience in the courtroom, in the area of creditors' rights and consumer laws (both state and federal), in drafting forms and in performing legal research
Administrative responsibilities will include preparing forms and developing processes
Full litigation responsibilities including review of correspondence, review of files to determine whether they are suit appropriate, review and/or approval of all pleadings, motions and discovery, and attend all types of hearings and trials in a high volume environment
Knowledgeable in post judgment remedies including attachment and garnishment
Responsible for managing high-volume docket of civil litigation cases in the area of debt-collection through all phases of litigation from commencement through post-judgment actions
