NEOGOV is seeking a Winter Seasonal Parks & Rec Laborer for the City of Soldotna. This role involves maintaining the appearance and safety of municipal parks and recreation facilities, performing various maintenance tasks, and providing customer service to the public.

Responsibilities

Performs regular and recurring tasks related to the maintenance and operation of parks and recreation facilities
Operates vehicles and specialized equipment such as Zamboni, skid steer, lawn mowers, chain saws, ATV, snow plows, and various hand tools
Perform general janitorial duties to include but not limited to sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors, emptying trash, cleaning windows, washing walls, cleaning locker rooms and restrooms
Perform minor interior building maintenance such as painting, plumbing, carpentry, and other unskilled and semi-skilled trades work
Frequent outdoor work and exposure to inclement weather and rigorous conditions including snow removal from sidewalks, parking lots, trails and the maintenance of outdoor ice skating facilities
Provides friendly customer service and works collaboratively with others to accomplish tasks
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required

Any combination of training and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the essential job functions will be considered
Be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Must be available to work varying schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Must have a valid driver's license
Must have and maintain a good driving record
