The Grain Merchandising Intern will gain experience in grain procurement and sales, learning the fundamental processes of grain merchandising, including contracting and hedging, while interacting directly with farmer customers.

Responsibilities
Assist in the purchasing and contracting of grain from farmer customers
Learn and support hedging strategies to manage market risk
Participate in farmer visits and yield checks to build customer relationships
Work on a summer project to be determined, tailored to current business needs
Qualification
Required
Ability to quickly learn new computer programs and systems
Strong desire to work directly with farmer customers and build relationships
Basic knowledge of grain elevators and their functions
Has taken coursework in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, or a related field
Enrolled in a Bachelor's program at an accredited college/university
