Responsibilities
Answer incoming phone calls and receive telephone orders promptly and courteously
Greet customers courteously at the counter
Sell distributor products and provide services
Give customers price and availability information
Support the account manager(s) in all day-to-day sales activities
Recognize when special pricing is required and provide competitive quotations
Follow up on all quotations, in an attempt to write orders, or to gather information for use in future quotations
Understand product applications and assist customers in their product selections
Know Medler Electric’s inventory, including substitutions
Assist the Purchasing Department by using a “stock out” reporting process for requested stock items with insufficient available inventory
Participate in training to enhance product knowledge
Proactively expedite customer orders when necessary
Exchange customer related information with associates
Maintain a clean and neat work area
Display a high degree of integrity and professionalism in all interactions with Medler Electric associates, suppliers, and customers
Perform other duties assigned by the Branch Manager; where applicable, perform these duties following documented ISO processes
Qualification
Required
High school graduate
Knowledge of electrical products
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50lbs
Pass Drug Test and background check
Basic computer skills
