The CNC Operator will operate and set up CNC machines, inspect parts, perform preventative maintenance, and engage in manual machining operations as needed.

Responsibilities

Operate and set up computerized numerical control machines: lasers CNC/EDM, CNC machining centers, and CNC grinders

Utilize measuring tools to inspect parts

Ability to accurately interpret blueprints and/or work in-process documents

Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment when required

R&D of new programming

Perform manual machining operations

Performing other tasks in the facility, as needed

Required

H.S. diploma or equivalent

Three (3) years + experience in machining, measuring equipment and CNC set-up and program editing

Good verbal and written communication skills as well as good problem-solving ability

Ability to accurately interpret blueprints and/or work in-process documents

Good math and computer technology skills as well as the ability to read and use measurement tools

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, engineers, and co-workers

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, and decimals

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
