Regional Sales Manager

Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and mentor a diverse team of Business Development Representatives and Market Developers, providing coaching, guidance, and ongoing development opportunities
Set clear and achievable sales targets for the team and monitor progress closely
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages high performance and employee engagement
Work collaboratively with the People & Culture Business Partner on people related matters and projects
Identify and develop high-potential team members for future leadership roles
Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team by fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve regional sales targets and exceed customer expectations
Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer data to identify growth opportunities
Develop and execute sales plans for key accounts within the region
Manage the day-to-day sales activities of the team, including call planning, territory management, and customer visits
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers within the region
Understand customer needs and preferences, and tailor sales strategies accordingly
Negotiate and close deals with customers, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes
Provide excellent customer service and resolve any customer issues promptly and effectively
Monitor and analyse sales performance data to identify areas for improvement
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective action as needed to achieve sales targets and profitability goals
Manage sales budgets and expenses effectively
Represent the Tayto Snacks brand professionally and positively in all interactions with customers and stakeholders
Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures
Embody the Tayto Snacks values in all aspects of the role, 'Thinking Responsibly, Acting Entrepreneurially, Growing together'

Required

Senior Manager/Supervisor experience
Strong retail and previous management experience
High energy, ambition, strategic thinking skills
Experience managing a diverse high performing sales team with a range of experience
High level of influencing skills internally within Tayto Snacks and externally with our customers
Extensive sales management and people management experience
Comprehensive understanding of developments in the retail sector
Ability to think deeply and broadly about the business
Proven track record of managing and leading a team to deliver high performing results
Takes personal responsibility for problems/ensuring outcomes
High delivery skills and action orientation
Ability to effectively plan and meet objectives
Gets to the heart of business issues quickly
Comfortable with numerical and financial issues
Ability to provide inspirational management
Passionate for the Tayto Snacks brands
Full driving licence
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Previous experience in managing a team

Preferred

Experience in the snack food/FMCG industry
Experience with CRM systems
Knowledge of sales forecasting and budgeting
Experience in developing and implementing sales training programs
