Sub-Zero Group, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Co-op for their new Cedar Rapids facility. The role involves supporting the start-up of the facility, applying engineering principles, and collaborating with engineering teams to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Support the start-up of our new Cedar Rapids, IA facility in either Fabrication or Assembly engineering

Incorporating various Industrial and Mechanical Engineering principles in a manufacturing environment

Perform analysis of procedures and design fixtures

Working to increase productivity and efficiency through the plant to ensure safety and quality

Work closely with various engineering groups to develop facility layouts through CAD

Develop procedures for new equipment

Oversee installation of new equipment

Qualification

Required

Currently enrolled in an Engineering program (Industrial, Mechanical, or related field)

Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday for 8 months

Experience with CAD software

Knowledge of Industrial and Mechanical Engineering principles

Ability to perform analysis of procedures and design fixtures

Strong focus on productivity and efficiency in a manufacturing environment

Commitment to safety and quality in engineering practices

Ability to work cross-functionally with various engineering groups

Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug test
