Assistant/Associate Professor of Internal/Family Medicine in Psychiatry and Health Behavior

Augusta University is seeking a faculty member for the Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior to provide clinical care as a certified Internal/Family Medicine Provider. The role involves engaging in clinical supervision, expanding academics and training, and maintaining required licensure and certifications.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical care to patients equivalent to 90% of the work commitment at East Central Regional Hospital
In the course of providing clinical care to ECRH patients engage in clinical supervision with MCG fellows, residents and students
Expand academics and training for family medicine at ECRH
Attend at least 80% of departmental meetings and Grand Rounds
Maintain licensure and certifications required for appointment and credentialing with Augusta University
Complete all training for Augusta University and DBHDD quarterly, bi-annually, or annually

MDDOMBBSBoard-eligible Internal MedicineBoard-Certified Family MedicineTeaching abilityScholarship activity

Required

MD, DO, MBBS or equivalent
Training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Must be Board-eligible or Board-Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Assistant Professor- Early level career as a faculty member with appropriate post graduate training
Associate Professor- Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience
Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)'s requirements for institutional accreditation
Evidence of ability as a teacher
Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned
Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements)
Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations
