Electrical Construction Management Intern
Cummings Electrical is one of the country's fastest growing and most respected electrical contractors, seeking College Interns for their Electrical Construction Management Internship. The role offers hands-on field experience to understand electrical construction methods and assist in various construction management tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities
Assist in managing and developing the construction schedule
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of basic project recordkeeping and correspondence functions including daily and weekly reports, photographs, requests for information (RFIs), and memorandums
Assist in compiling, processing, and confirming daily labor timesheets
Assisting in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s)
Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating work groups on the jobsite and supervising field operations
Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
Assisting in field surveying and work layout support
Assist the Superintendent with obtaining information and approvals for processing shop drawings and submittals
Providing field support and supervise subcontractor operations
Order and schedule material deliveries, verifying shipment and documentation
Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety training
Assist Superintendent with interpreting plans, performing material takeoffs from drawings, specifications and other contract documents
Monitor cost control, quality, productivity and safety on projects
Disseminate Construction information to appropriate parties
Monitor field variations and keep the Project Superintendent informed of any changes
Uphold safe working conditions and preventative safety measures and ensure compliance and enforcement of safety program at all times
Maintains positive working environment for entire site team
Other duties as assigned that are not included, but are within the context of duties define
Qualification
Required
Must be a sophomore or junior and be actively enrolled in a four-year bachelor's degree program with at least two (2) years of education and demonstrate interest in the electrical construction industry
Ability to relocate to DFW for the duration of the program
Hold a strong academic record
Excellent communication & written communication skills
Collaboration and organizational skills
Good computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite programs
Exhibits professionalism, attention to detail and desire to work in a team environment
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Must be able to obtain a Texas Electrical Apprentice License
Preferred
Basic knowledge of commercial building construction activities
Ability to interact and collaborate with diverse groups of people
Capable of identifying problems and recommending corrective actions
Strong ability to demonstrate leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
