Responsibilities

Define and own the standards, tools, and processes for all 3D visualization, rendering, and immersive experiences (VR/AR) within the Industrial Design team
Design, implement, and maintain the end-to-end visualization pipeline (data prep, asset optimization, rendering) to maximize speed, fidelity, and iteration efficiency
Produce world-class photo-realistic renderings and cinematic animations for the highest-level executive reviews, investor presentations, and product launches
Drive the development and use of VR/AR environments for 1:1 scale design evaluation, including researching, prototyping, and integrating new hardware/software
Work with partner teams to scope and define visualization goals and drive creative direction. Optimize creative output and direction taking into account lead time available for the project; assess need to involve external vendors
Collaborate deeply with CMF to develop complex digital material libraries and work with Design, Engineering, and Marketing leadership to anticipate future visualization needs. Develop workflows and processes with partner teams to efficiently execute visualization assets
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to industrial designers, CAD modelers, and visualization specialists, setting the quality bar for all visual assets

Required

5+ years of dedicated professional experience in high-fidelity 3D product visualization, ideally within automotive, aerospace, or high-end consumer electronics
An exceptional portfolio demonstrating deep technical mastery, strategic thinking, and successful execution of complex product visualization projects
Deep understanding of NURBS surfaces (from Alias, CATIA) and advanced techniques for topology cleanup, UV mapping, and optimizing heavy CAD data for real-time performance
Expert proficiency in high-end offline rendering tools (e.g., V-Ray, Redshift, Octane) and production workflows
Exceptional ability to articulate technical strategy to non-technical stakeholders (e.g., Executive Team) and translate high-level design direction into a technical execution plan

Preferred

Experience leading the implementation of a new visualization software/hardware process for a design organization
Experience with scripting (Python, C++, Blueprints) to automate pipeline tasks
Proven expertise in developing and managing projects within real-time engines (eg. Unreal Engine, VRED) specifically for design review applications
A background or certification in photography, cinematography, or material science
Prior experience managing vendor relationships for outsourced visualization work
