SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment is seeking enthusiastic individuals for their Sesame Place University Internship, aimed at providing hands-on experience in the theme park and hospitality industry. Interns will gain exposure to various departments, enhance their customer service skills, and have opportunities for networking and scholarship.

Responsibilities

Exposure to the theme park industry which includes many departments and other subindustry experiences such as hospitality/customer service, management, operations, revenue, and general structure, leadership, and discipline of a workforce

Hands-on and real-world experience for resume enhancement

Seminars with industry experts to help build upon knowledge of the theme park industry and its subindustries

Customer service skills and de-escalation tactics, including how to best resolve and deal with customer scenarios of all levels

Gaining and building upon skills such as leadership, communication, decision making, time-management, etc

Networking opportunities and newfound connections

Required

Must be 18 years of age or older

Must be enrolled in or attending a college/university

Can interact with guests in a fast-paced environment

Outstanding communication abilities

Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs

Must be willing to comply with all SEA wardrobe and grooming guidelines and other employee standards as stated in the handbook

Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather

Must provide flexible and consistent availability (including nights, weekends, and holidays)

Must consistently practice safe working habits and accident prevention

Ability to successfully complete all company required legal documentation and trainings within an established timeline

Proficient problem solving and quick-thinking skills

Ability to think and work independently

Consistently maintain a positive and professional demeanor

A passion for customer service
