Responsibilities
Support program technical execution in accordance with Northrop Grumman Systems Engineering processes and best practices
Perform technical planning and analyses at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal
Assist requirements development, allocation, and interface definition efforts
As the system design matures & evolves, utilize different tools and databases to keep technical artifacts up to date and help ensure the technical baseline is maintained
Play a key role in major program milestone and readiness reviews
Author and provide input to program data products and other vital deliverables including Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Command & Telemetry Databases (CTDB), test plans, test procedures, and automated test scripts
Help support critical test campaigns designed to exercise spacecraft functionality, measure performance, and verify survivability in the extreme launch and space environments
Work directly with and communicate technical and programmatic status to program leadership and Customers
Lead by example and be willing to mentor, coach, train, guide, direct and advise teammates
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with at least 5 years of experience; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD for Level 3
Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with at least 8 years of experience; 6 Years with Masters; 3 Year with PhD for Level 4
Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn
Engineering experience
Must have U.S. Citizenship with active DoD Top Secret clearance at time of application
Preferred
Electrical engineering and Integration & test experience
Advanced degree in engineering, physics, or computer science
Active DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI
Possess strong leadership qualities, as well as strong communication skills
Experience working on spacecraft or aircraft systems
Experience with scripting languages such as STOL, PERL, and PYTHON
Experience in systems engineering to include architectural studies, technical baseline definition, requirements & interface management, hardware/software integration, and test planning & execution
Experience with various technical tools such as MATLAB, STK, CORE, DOORS, or CAMEO
Experience in any of the following areas is also desired: orbital mechanics, orbital debris modeling, spacecraft attitude control, power systems and modeling, avionics or digital electronics design, risk analysis, optics, communications, rocket propulsion, thermal engineering, or spacecraft integration and testing
Knowledge of Launch Vehicles, System Safety, System Reliability, Contamination Control, EMI, Space Environments (Radiation, Surface Charging, etc.), and Human Factors is also desired
Experience and/or training in Earned Value Management Systems
