Revenue Recognition Analyst

Responsibilities

Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Revenue Operations, and FP&A to review customer contracts and identify revenue implications
Support the monthly and quarterly revenue close process, including trend and variance analyses, preparation of revenue-related journal entries, and reconciliations
Assist with the preparation of revenue disclosures and documentation to support SEC filings (10-Qs & 10-Ks)
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, particularly ASC 606, and internal revenue recognition policies
Maintain and enhance internal controls over revenue recognition in accordance with SOX requirements
Support and coordinate with internal and external auditors on revenue-related matters
Participate in system implementations, system enhancements, and automation initiatives related to revenue processes
Identify and propose improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency of revenue-related processes
Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in revenue recognition

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on revenue recognition
Experience in a public accounting firm and/or publicly traded technology company (preferably SaaS or cybersecurity)
Solid understanding of US GAAP, ASC 606, and SOX compliance
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment

Preferred

Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems and revenue automation tools (e.g., NetSuite ARM, Zuora, Aptitude) is a plus
