The role involves reviewing commercial submissions, underwriting, assessing customer needs, and collaborating with Account Executives to provide clear recommendations and maintain strong insurer relationships.

Responsibilities

Review commercial submissions for accuracy and completeness

Underwrite submissions from Account Executives and request additional information as needed

Assess customer needs, explain products and coverages, and provide clear recommendations to Account Executives

Enter submissions into Policy Works and distribute them to market

Negotiate terms and coverages with insurers

Prepare and issue commercial proposals and binders

Build and maintain strong insurer relationships

Quote small business accounts using company portals

Collaborate effectively with Account Executives and affiliate offices

Qualification

Valid RIBO LicenseCAIB designationCIP designationCRIM designationSIG XP experiencePolicy Works experienceInterpersonal skillsOrganizational skillsTime-management skillsNegotiation abilitiesAttention to detailTeam collaboration

Required

Valid RIBO License in good standing

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills

High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

Excellent negotiation abilities

Commitment to contributing positively to a team-driven culture

Preferred

Experience with SIG XP and Policy Works

Additional industry designations (CAIB, CIP, CRIM) considered an asset

Working knowledge of specialty insurance products is an asset
