BrightLife Kids Health Educator Internship (San Francisco Bay Area, CA)
Brightline is launching its 2026 internship program aimed at supporting the Brightlife Kids program, which focuses on improving behavioral health care for children and families. The intern will work closely with Community Engagement Leads to promote social and emotional well-being and gain hands-on experience in mental and behavioral health while making a community impact.

Responsibilities
Ditch the textbook - you'll get genuine, hands-on experience in mental and behavioral health, working directly with families
You'll be our voice at local events (fairs, school gatherings, etc.)
Your mission: directly connect with parents and spread the word about BrightLife Kids’ impact and the importance of prioritizing behavioral health
Lead the conversations that make child behavioral health easy to understand and learn how to turn a conversation into action
Receive guidance and mentorship from experienced Brightline employees, gaining valuable insights into community health and engagement strategies
You will seriously boost your game in public speaking, event execution, and communication
Plus, you'll gain practical experience navigating complex public health systems and building a professional network within diverse local communities
Qualification
Required
Able to commit to a minimum of 8 hours per week to attend community events within a 1-hour driving radius from where you live
Proficiency in Spanish is a major plus, we often engage with primarily Spanish-speaking communities

You're motivated, reliable, and comfortable taking ownership of your tasks and handling outreach events independently
Are experienced working with multicultural populations
You are 18 years or older and have completed high school or equivalent
You have access to reliable transportation to commute to in-person events
Preferred
Familiarity with pediatric mental health, public health issues, or local community needs is a major plus
Proficiency in languages beyond English and Spanish are also a plus
