Responsibilities
Support in tax compliance preparation and completion
Support in preparing/reviewing corporate tax calculations that are accurate and comply with all legal requirements
Become knowledgeable about all the computer software used in the tax department
Gain an understanding of Firm policies, procedures, and professional standards through observation, inquiry, and adherence to them
Demonstrate positive attitude towards Firm and profession
Develop initiative, interpersonal skills, and practical application of technical knowledge
Performance of other related duties assigned by immediate supervisor and other Firm management as required
Confidentiality of Firm and client information is critical
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled at an accredited university working toward a degree in Accounting
A strong interest in beginning a career in public accounting upon receiving your undergraduate degree
Able to work part-time, for a minimum of 20 hours per week from mid-January to mid-April
Desire to work closely with engagement teams to provide exceptional service to clients
Good analytical skills and enjoy working with numbers
Strong organizational, time management skills and effective communication skills
Self-motivated with a high level of initiative
Enthusiastic, demonstrate 'can do' and 'team working' attitude with an ability to learn quickly
