The internship role focuses on facade engineering, where the intern will be responsible for analysis, design, and detailing facade systems, while collaborating with various design professionals.
Industrial Engineering
Responsibilities
Responsible for analysis, design, and detailing facade systems. Includes mullion design, glass design, backup framing, and other façade components
Coordination of design work with in-house staff and other design professionals including Architecture, Structural, Sustainability, Façade access, and Forensics disciplines
Assist with Material and systems research including, glass, terracotta, GFRC, stone, metal panels, and more
Develop Revit components and prepare construction documents within a BIM environment
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate or graduate student with a concentration in engineering or architecture
Excellent academic record
Preferred
Experience in Revit, AutoCAD, and/or Rhino is preferred
Experience with Excel, Bluebeam Studio, and Adobe InDesign
Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Bluebeam Studio are helpful
