Manager, Finance - Universal Kids Resort
Universal Orlando Resort is seeking a Manager for Finance at Universal Kids Resort. This role leads the financial function to support the business, overseeing budget tracking, financial reporting, and vendor payment management while partnering with leadership to optimize financial results.

Responsibilities
Partners with Universal Kids Resort leadership to lead tracking and forecasting of monthly operating revenue and cost in conjunction with the annual operating plan. Validates and submits regular updates to the annual operating plan with the corporate financial planning deliverables due to the New Ventures Corporate Finance team. Leverages learnings from new business model to accurately forecast and support business needs
Provides ad hoc analytics in support of business needs including but not limited to revenue performance analysis, labor/cost efficiencies, and strategic insights to drive business growth
Executes month-end financial close processes including reviewing and approving various journal entries, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment, preparing and reviewing reports at various levels of the business for actuals, documenting variance explanations and reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations
Manages direct reports by providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, career development, and performance management. Facilitates collaboration, communication, and cohesiveness across the team
Oversees vendor setup and invoice payment management to ensure vendor relationships are maintained and optimized to meet operational business needs. Documents applicable policies and procedures and supports the maintenance of department SOPs. Responsible for adherence and interaction with applicable regulatory agencies and requirements
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong knowledge of forecasting, analytical thinking, and budgeting
Advanced Excel skills, strong planning and scheduling, and financial planning
Proficient knowledge of accounting principles and concepts
Ability to communicate clearly and present financial recommendations to an executive level
Must possess an entrepreneurial focus, collaboration, and proactive mindset
Consistent attendance is a job requirement
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
5+ years of Finance or Accounting experience is required
Preferred
CPA (Financial Reporting, IA, or Tax) preferred
Master's degree is preferred
3+ years of supervisory experience is preferred
