Responsibilities

Develop air and missile system dynamics, controls, guidance, and navigation models
Reverse engineer flight parameters for existing systems
Analyze real world data and compare against simulated data for model verification
Research new algorithms for air and missile systems
Develop code for models and simulations
Analyze model performance and perform verification, validation, and accreditation
Lead analysis studies using developed models and simulations
Make presentations and assessments summarized for customers
Lead other engineers in development of models and simulations

Qualification

Aerospace EngineeringProgramming in PythonProgramming in C/C++ModelingSimulationsGITMissile Defense SystemsInterceptor Missile TechnologiesPhysics-based ModelsSocial SkillsCommunication Skills

Required

Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math or equivalent degree from accredited university
10-20 years of experience
Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD secret clearance
Programming experience in Python, C/C++, or Matlab required

Preferred

Experience with GIT, Gitlab, or DevOps (or similar) preferred
Experience with missile defense systems
Experience with interceptor missile technologies
Experience in physics-based models and simulations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers
