Responsibilities

Demonstrate an intermediate to advanced proficiency level in utilizing computer-aided drafting (CAD) software and other techniques, standards, and tools to prepare technical drawings

Learn and utilize customer software for drafting and data input

Support and coordinate with Outside Plant (OSP) Designers to transform rough field designs into drafted work prints according to varying customer specifications

Collaborate with OSP Designers to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs

Read, evaluate, and interpret designs and drawings

Review work print drawings and designs to ensure adherence to all established specifications and standards

Understand the basics of telecommunications standards to help quality check designs while drafting

Utilize advanced tools within the CAD software to compile data and import/export to supporting applications

Assist in training less experienced team members

Qualification

AutoCADOSP Telecom experienceGISMicrosoft OfficeProblem-solving skillsDetail-focusedTeamwork

Required

Bachelor's and/or associate degree in related field and 2-6 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination

Proficient with Microsoft Office, GIS and AutoCAD

OSP Telecom experience

Detail-focused and well-organized, with good problem-solving skills

Able to work as part of a team, yet be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
