Responsibilities

3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator with Microsoft SQL Server

Strong expertise in SQL Server backup/recovery strategies, database maintenance plans, and disaster recovery procedures

Proficiency in performance tuning, query optimization, and execution plan analysis

Experience with SQL Server high availability and disaster recovery technologies

Solid understanding of database security principles, permissions management, and compliance requirements

Knowledge of SQL Server monitoring tools and DMVs for performance diagnostics

Experience with PowerShell or T-SQL scripting for automation of administrative tasks

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Experience managing databases in healthcare or medical billing environments

Knowledge of healthcare data standards and EDI processes (X12 837/835 files)

Familiarity with Azure SQL Database or AWS RDS for SQL Server

Experience with database version control and DevOps practices (Git, Azure DevOps)

Understanding of ETL processes and SSIS package administration

Knowledge of compliance requirements (HIPAA, SOC 2) as they relate to database management

Experience with database monitoring tools (SQL Sentry, Redgate, SolarWinds, etc.)
