Director Practice Operations

Responsibilities
Manage relationships and joint ventures with specialty practices
Develop and execute change management process for prospective partnerships, act as a strategic advisor to the practices, and represent Specialty Practices stakeholders’ long-term strategy
Represent OSP to physician practices, directing OSP corporate resources as needed (Development, Contracting, Operations, Legal, etc)
In conjunction with the VP Practice Operations, responsible for driving success and growth strategy for the Joint Ventures
Regular communication to MSO leadership, shareholders, and staff
Participate on JV MSO Boards as needed
Business partner with practice to ensure successful execution of Mutual Accountability Action Plan (MAAP)
In partnership with the practice develop and implement process improvement initiatives to drive practice efficiency
In coordination with finance and analytic teammates build proformas to support growth initiatives
Working knowledge of practice P&L and able to partner with practice CEO to achieve benchmark KPIs
Ensure a smooth handoff from diligence and integration to operations by participating in the integration process
Continuously refine the Specialty Practice value propositions to create compelling and clear messaging that will resonate with independent physicians
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate degree or equivalent
Minimum 3 years experience as the Director of Operations, Business Development, Sales, Client Management or Advisory role within a highly professional and successful healthcare services company
10 years in the field
Experience working with independent physician practices
Proven track record of developing successful relationships and business partnerships with physicians
Ability to establish trust and long-term relationships
Willing to travel extensively, at least 50% and potentially more per week
Confidence and demeanour to gain the respect of senior executives and physician leadership of independent specialty groups
Outstanding communication skills and executive presence
Solution-oriented
Team player who is able to perform at a high level and willing to roll up sleeves to support a small but growing team in any capacity needed
Ability to demonstrate initiative, have a strong desire to succeed, and willingness to exert the extraordinary effort that will be required
Preferred
Experience with proceduralists (orthopaedics, cardiology, GI, ENT, urology, etc)
Experience working with or in Management Services Organization (MSO) or other entity that provides management and consultative services to physician practices
