Assistant Purchasing Manager

K. Hovnanian is a well-respected company in the home building and community development industry. The Assistant Purchasing Manager will be responsible for creating pricing components, negotiating contracts, evaluating vendor bids, and managing purchasing-related community support issues.

Responsibilities

Create lump sum or unit price components and corresponding specifications for each trade
Negotiate and finalize business unit or bid area contract prices with trade partners
Evaluate available trade partner pool
Update contracts and changes to lump sum or unit price components
Receive and evaluate vendor bid proposals
Act as the point of contact for community support issues relating to purchasing issues
Update non-price components of business unit's contracts, such as terms and conditions
Perform monthly community budget analysis
Help to manage and maintain scopes of work

Required

A bachelor's degree in construction management or similar discipline
3-5 years of experience in purchasing procurement activities in the construction industry
Must maintain a valid driver's license
