Memphis Senior Engineering Project Manager

Responsibilities

Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of large multidisciplinary projects or medium-sized projects with a high degree of technical complexity, typically involving a large project staff
Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently
Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings
Coordinate staffing and workload of staff through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule
Conduct schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with other Project Managers, appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines
Work with the Business/Accounting Managers, Project Coordinators and Department Manager or Managing Principal for project reviews
Implement QA/QC procedures and execute training for personnel as established
Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings
Conduct schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with Project Managers, appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines
Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with the team to ensure that work is completed within the parameters of the agreed-upon scope, schedule, and budget
Supervise project staff and act as a mentor for less-experienced Project Managers
Work with internal and external resources to put together contract drawings and documents in accordance with HDR’s quality standards
Manage construction phase services such as submittal, shop drawing, and RFI review, coordination, and correspondence
Manage technical components of pursuits and work with the marketing team to produce high-quality pursuit documents
Perform other duties as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
10 years related experience
A minimum 5 years project management experience
Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license
MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be plus)
Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
