FSQA Technician
Maple Leaf Foods Inc is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated FSQA Technician to join their Food Safety & Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will help ensure products are safe and meet food safety and quality standards, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
Perform food safety and quality checks, including temperature, product inspection, and label verification
Monitor and document GMPs, pre-op inspections, and sanitation verification
Conduct receiving checks, finished product checks, and internal audits (glass, light, etc.)
Collect and handle samples for microbiological testing, water sampling, and product retention
Verify monitoring procedures and assist with hold/release activities
Support investigations for non-conformances and rework processes
Maintain accurate and complete FSQA records in compliance with regulatory standards
Participate in continuous improvement of food safety and quality programs
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in Food Science, Biology, Life Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field — or at least 2 years of relevant experience
Strong understanding of regulatory and food safety standards
Computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel)
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written SOPs and policies
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs
Use of hands, eyes, and ears for inspections and sensory evaluations
Ability to adjust focus and differentiate colors
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Prior experience in the food manufacturing industry preferred
