Responsibilities
Assists local real estate leaders and management teams in interpreting tenant leases and landlord contractual obligations
Acts as a resource for local management teams by providing guidance on handling concerns as it relates to lease specifications
Generates lease abstracts outlining all key financial, business and legal information that exists in the commercial real estate lease and communicates all unusual lease provisions, financial obligations and other pertinent information
Assists local management teams with operating budget preparation by reviewing income assumptions for both accuracy and soundness in mechanics and strategy
Assists local management teams with calculating annual CAM reconciliations and tracking of percentage rent
Reviews management software systems for accuracy of key components such as the rent roll to ensure correct square footages and rents. Establishes the commercial pro-rata share for expense allocation
Creates and conducts virtual training sessions to ensure local management teams understand key lease abstract information as well as lease language
Assists with new business pursuits where possible on mixed-use projects
Works closely with other departments in the development of various system platforms that support commercial management activities/requirements
Generates and maintains training tools for mixed-use property operators to include both written and video formats. Conducts general purpose virtual training sessions with mixed-use operators on a periodic basis
Qualification
Required
Experience in managing mixed-use communities
Ability to interpret tenant leases and landlord contractual obligations
Experience in generating lease abstracts outlining key financial, business, and legal information
Ability to assist with operating budget preparation and review income assumptions
Experience in calculating annual CAM reconciliations and tracking percentage rent
Familiarity with management software systems and ensuring accuracy of key components
Ability to create and conduct training sessions on lease abstract information and lease language
Experience in assisting with new business pursuits on mixed-use projects
Ability to work closely with other departments in developing system platforms for commercial management activities
Experience in generating and maintaining training tools for mixed-use property operators
