Lead, DevOps Software Engineer

Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters to support our microservices-based architecture
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and infrastructure provisioning
Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of code, testing, and deployment processes
Monitor and maintain the health and performance of production systems, managing incidents and ensuring timely resolution
Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar
Ensure security best practices are followed in the DevOps processes, including access controls, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements
Automate operational tasks, leveraging scripting and configuration management tools
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline development, deployment, and operational processes
Keep up to date with the latest developments and best practices in Kubernetes, cloud services, and DevOps methodologies
Use knowledge of microservice architectural patterns
Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA public trust clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a minimum 6-9 years software experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4-7 years of software experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10-13 years of software experience
5+ years Cloud Software Developer with focus on containerized workloads, databases, and object storage
5 years experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices to Kubernetes based environments such as EKS, OpenShift, etc
Experience developing scalable, highly available enterprise systems, ideally for Cloud
Experience leveraging Cloud services for application development/deployment and using CLI commands and config files to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA public trust clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship
Preferred
Certifications in Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
Understanding of service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd)
Experience with GitOps practices and tools (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux)
Background in software development and understanding of development workflows and methodologies
