Director of Architecture
CPH is looking to bring a strong Director of Architecture to our team here in Central Florida. The Director of Architecture provides strategic leadership and oversight to the architectural team, ensuring the successful delivery of design and construction projects while managing large-scale projects and mentoring staff.

Responsibilities
Lead and oversee Studio Principals
Manage and oversee architectural portion of CPH programs and design team activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and schedules
Provide quality assurance throughout all phases of design and construction documentation
Stay current with building codes, zoning laws, and other regulatory requirements, ensuring all projects are fully compliant
Identify opportunities to improve workflows, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and innovation
Serve as the senior technical leader in the department, offering mentorship and guidance to employees
Share expertise and foster professional growth within the team to build a strong, knowledgeable department
Define and drive the architectural vision and strategy to meet business objectives while fostering innovation and creativity
Work closely with other members of the leadership team to coordinate and integrate efforts across Departments
Maintain effective QA/QC process to ensure high-quality, complete, and well-coordinated drawings
Establish and implement short- and long-term goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures for the department
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded throughout the project lifecycle
Contribute to firm-wide strategic initiatives, business planning, and growth efforts
Participating in new business development, proposal writing, and client presentations to support the firm’s objectives
Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of architects, designers, and technical staff, fostering professional development and collaboration
Oversight of project budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and monitor progress to ensure projects are delivered on time and within financial targets
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite
Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning laws and regulatory requirements
Proficiency in hand sketching and drawing
Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills, and ability to maintain schedules and meet project deadlines
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work cross-functionally in a team environment
Experience in Industrial, Institutional, Commercial, Retail, Restaurants, Grocery Stores, and Office projects
Strong adaptability and ability to follow instructions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Flexibility to adjust work schedule to meet project deadlines
Detail-oriented, reliable, quality-conscious, and self-motivated
Must have a valid driver's license
Assist with administrative duties and needed
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
Architectural Licensed
Minimum of 10 years' experience in architecture, and project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Expertise in managing large scale, projects across various sectors, such as commercial, residential, institutional, or industrial
