The Office of Information Technology is seeking to fill the position of the Senior Officer-Deputy Director for Applications and Architecture. This role involves managing the agency's technical strategy and overseeing application development, infrastructure operations, and IT program management.

Responsibilities

Developing and maintaining the agency's technical strategy and roadmap working with stakeholders from infrastructure, operations, cybersecurity, and business management
Developing diverse teams to build and maintain applications that balance commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products and in-house developed (custom) applications, with an emphasis on cloud
Streamlining and improving technical processes and governance to reduce administrative overhead, eliminate redundancies and optimize investments
Creating new, and streamlining existing, processes in which new technology can be evaluated in concordance with the agency's technical strategy and roadmap
Ensuring cybersecurity is fully integrated into all phases of the IT lifecycle, promoting secure-by-design principles and accelerating the secure deployment of new technologies
Supporting and balancing of internal customer (Divisions and Offices) technology needs with the Office of Information Technology's portfolio of approved software, systems and platforms

Time-in-grade for this announcement is one year at the GS/SK-14 level
BASIC REQUIREMENT: For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, Problem Solving
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must also meet the minimum qualification requirement SO-01: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-14 level: Managing technical strategy, information technology roadmap and projects within an information technology organization and/or managing the implementation of multiple large-scale technology projects at a financial services regulator or industry organization; AND Developing and maintaining business applications, including the creation and refinement of policies, processes, and measurements to assess and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of application development; AND Developing and implementing innovative strategies, plans and roadmaps for improving business processes, business application development, and technology advancements; AND Championing a user-centric approach to technology development and support, ensuring that end-user experience and service excellence are core pillars of the agency's technology modernization strategy
