Responsibilities
Serve as the initial point of contact with patients, referring physicians, and the general public
Welcome all patients and their family members into the imaging center
Make patients and all visitors feel comfortable, anticipating and attending to their needs
Check patients in and answer the telephone
Route incoming calls to the appropriate party
Schedule patient appointments
Collect balances from patients’ financial responsibility at time of service
Perform other front office/desk duties as necessary
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
0 - 2+ years of experience working in a customer support role or hospitality field
Strong customer service background and focus
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge and ability to perform accurately and efficiently on computer
Demonstrated ability to multi-task
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience working in a physician practice or other type of medical services office
Knowledge of medical terminology
Prior patient collections experience in a medical setting
Medical records experience
Bachelor's Degree
