SUPERVISORY INVESTIGATIVE ANALYST

USAJOBS is seeking a Supervisory Investigative Analyst for the Department of the Air Force. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Deputy Director of the DoD Cyber Crime Center's Computer Forensics Laboratory Division, supervising and leading the performance of work involving the research, analysis, and evaluation of digital and multimedia information to assist investigators in ongoing investigations.

Responsibilities

Works with the Director in planning, organizing, and overseeing the activities of the Computer Forensics Laboratory (CFL). Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and DoD Cyber Crime Center objectives
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors. Advises staff regarding policies, procedures, and directives of higher level management or headquarters
Represents Computer Forensics Laboratory (CFL) with a variety of installation and functional area organizations
Develops and implements internal procedures for program management and control. Ensures that personnel follow established operational processes and D/MM forensic protocols, processes and chain of custody
Provides direction to the Laboratory's research programs. Approves lab's research and development / testing and evaluation software and hardware used for forensic acquisitions and analysis

The selected candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance
Professional certifications such as EnCase ® Certified Examiner (EnCE ®), Access Data Certified Examiner (ACE), International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS) Certified Forensic Computer Forensic Examiner or similar DoD Computer Forensic Examiner certifications are required
Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining effective relationships, building consensus and coalitions, negotiating, and resolving conflicts with a variety of individuals and organizations as well as communicating effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions of an organization, and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff through subordinate supervisors as well as analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources
Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures
Demonstrated ability of having experience leading technical teams of 30 or more employees to achieve strategic mission outcomes
Demonstrated ability of 5+ years of experience managing an organizational budget, and experience shaping future investment decisions to achieve strategic business or governing outcomes
Knowledge as a supervisory level investigator, a digital investigation laboratory leader, or principal level digital examiner/analyst
One (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems

Preferred

Familiarity with the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors (ASCLD)/LAB or ANAB accreditation process
