Senior Implementation Engineer (Lending)

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact during implementation
Conduct discovery sessions to understand lending policies, underwriting procedures, exceptions, and compliance requirements
Train credit union staff on system functionality, rule behavior, and workflow setup
Provide clear documentation, guidance, and status updates throughout the project lifecycle
Lead the configuration of underwriting rules, decision trees, workflows, and lending logic within the loan origination system
Translate credit union policies—including credit criteria, DTI thresholds, verifications, stipulations, and pricing logic—into structured system rules
Set up product configurations for consumer, auto, credit card, home equity, and other loan types
Map existing credit union processes to LOS workflows and recommend best-practice optimizations
Build and execute test plans to validate underwriting rules and system configurations
Assist clients with UAT (User Acceptance Testing), troubleshoot discrepancies, and adjust rules as needed
Ensure implementations meet regulatory, policy, and internal quality standards
Partner with internal product and engineering teams to relay client feedback and identify product enhancement opportunities
Documenting business and technical requirements as needed for Product and Engineering
Develop implementation templates, configuration guides, and repeatable frameworks
Provide post-go-live support during stabilization

Required

Prior experience in lending is a strong asset for the role
Developing a deep level of expertise about how customers lend including Underwriting, Processing and Regulatory requirements
High agency, a consultative approach to client implementations, a strong technical foundation, and be proactive communicators to ensure internal teams remain aligned
