Postdoctoral Scholar in Chemical Engineering
Penn State University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Chemical Engineering. The successful candidate will conduct research involving mucin-on-chip systems and investigate interactions between pathogenic bacteria and mucin.

Utilize a mucin-on-chip system to identify the interactions between pathogenic E. coli and mucin using various E. coli strains
Investigate sequence-based RNA silencing of bacterial antitoxins in mucin-associated biofilms and investigate its impact on the fitness of the mucin and the microbial counterpart
Engineer predictor models for microbiome interventions on mucin
Qualification
Required
A Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline is required
