Responsibilities

Serve as the full Deputy and "alter ego" to the Group Director and shares fully in the management of all phases of the work of the organization
Direct the administration of coverage policies for Agency-administered health insurance programs
Serve as a senior clinician and strategic officer in the Group and provides authoritative medical and policy input to the Group Director and the Agency at large
Oversee the ongoing clinical review of technologies, patient treatments, and the supporting scientific literature that analyzes the coverage issues

Doctor of MedicineDoctor of Osteopathic MedicineBoard CertificationGraduate TrainingInterpersonal Skills

Required

Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)
Current license to practice medicine in a State or territory of the United States or in the District of Columbia
Active Board Certification in a recognized medical specialty
5 years of graduate training in the specialty of the position to be filled or equivalent experience and training
Proof of License/Registration is required at the time of application
Proof of Active Board Certification is required at the time of application
Transcripts required at time of application
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
1 year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, i.e., a 1-year internship or the first year of a residency program in a hospital or an institution accredited for such training
Graduate training programs include only those internship, residency, and fellowship programs that are approved by accrediting bodies recognized within the United States or Canada
