Responsibilities

Lead and supervise building engineering and maintenance staff to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards
Operate, maintain, and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and necessary repairs to building equipment
Oversee work performed by contractors to ensure quality, compliance, and safety
Maintain documentation of system performance, maintenance activities, and work orders
Support energy efficiency and preventative maintenance initiatives
Respond to emergencies on a rotating on-call basis and provide direction during off-hours incidents
Maintain life/safety and security systems, ensuring operational readiness
Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and oversight

Required

Associate's degree, completed apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in building systems engineering
Minimum 5 years of commercial building maintenance experience, including 2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity
Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex building system issues
Familiarity with local and federal safety and regulatory requirements
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Physical capability to perform maintenance duties (lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, etc.)

Preferred

Universal CFC/HVAC Certification
4th Class Engineer (or higher)
Boiler Fireman Grade IV (or higher)
DC 3rd Class Engineer License (preferred)
Electrical Trainee, 07 Electrical License, or equivalent
Valid driver's license required
