They are seeking a Senior Highway Design Manager to develop and review plan sets, maintain project budgets, and mentor project staff.

Responsibilities

Developing and reviewing plan sets, quantity estimates, and reports
Preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates in accordance with IDOT and local agency standards
Mentoring project staff
Maintaining project budgets and schedules
Preforming QA/QC tasks
Participating in business development opportunities, including writing technical proposals, scopes of work, and developing fee estimates

Qualification

Civil EngineeringLicensed Professional EngineerMicroStationGeopakOpenRoads DesignerBusiness DevelopmentProject ManagementCommunication skillsTeam leadershipMentoring

Required

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or similar discipline from an accredited college or university
Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois
Minimum of 10+ years of related design and Project Management experience
Proven ability to lead successful teams, internally and externally
Proven ability to build effective business relationships
Established and positive industry reputation
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficient in MicroStation, Geopak, and OpenRoads Designer, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
