Human Resources Intern (Hybrid) – Summer 2026
American Greetings is looking for a Human Resources Intern for the Summer of 2026. In this role, you will support the Human Resources team with daily operations and gain hands-on exposure to key HR functions, including onboarding and employee relations.

Responsibilities
Assist in maintaining and organizing employee records, both electronic and hard copy
Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations regarding record-keeping
Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
Assist with handbook consistency project
Partner with HR Administrator to ensure onboarding completion
Shadow HR Generalist or Specialist during investigation intake, employee relations discussions, or recruitment meetings (as appropriate)
Provide administrative support to the HR department as needed
Qualification
Required
Must have plans to reside in Northeast Ohio for the Summer of 2026
There is no housing stipend associated with this internship
Must be able to work full time hours for the duration of the internship
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
Preferred
Minimum of two years of undergraduate course work is preferred
Basic understanding of Human Resources principles and practices is a plus
Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities and/or work experience
A minimum of 2 years of undergraduate course work in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
