Responsibilities
Lead by example, in all of Marigold’s safety processes, ensuring safe practices are utilized while performing work
Utilizes computer technology and work order system to troubleshoot and repair light and medium duty vehicles, to include preventative maintenance and component replacement
Implements continuous improvement of maintenance strategy that fully utilizes available workforce to achieve maximum equipment availability
Interprets information from schematics, maintenance and parts manuals
Performs work area housekeeping duties
Determines if work areas are safe and free of hazards. Performs Field Level Risk Assessments
Determines seriousness of problems and estimates time to make repairs
Creates requisitions to order correct parts for procurement from the warehouse or supplier
Responsible for compliance with company contamination control policies
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of MSHA regulations relating to mine equipment and maintenance practices (i.e. guarding, blocking, lock out-tag out)
Clear understanding and willingness to observe and practice company SOPs and policies
Unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship including immediately reporting and mitigating spills and other environmental impacts
Ability to positively communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with various individuals: Crew, departments and organizational levels
Strong, positive and effective communication skills, in English, using all normal forms of business communication are essential
Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
Consistent attendance
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
Understanding of failure and wear analysis
Must be familiar with all aspect of vehicle operation
Must understand the functions of the major components and systems
Must have good analytical skills to diagnose problems and make decisions about the most suitable repairs
Must be familiar with the different categories of lubricants and service parts
Own and maintain required personal tools
Demonstrated personal commitment to safe work practices
Experience with operating forklifts and other related Maintenance equipment
Experience with using basic power and hand tools
Strong experience in different aspects of light and medium vehicle maintenance, including electrical/electronic systems, engine performance and repair, heating and air conditioning, brakes, manual drive train and axles, automatic transmission, suspension, and steering
