Responsibilities

You will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems
You will monitor network capacity and performance
You will patch network vulnerabilities to ensure information is safeguarded against outside parties
You will provide advice and guidance in implementing IT security policies and procedures for the integration, testing, operations, and maintenance of systems security
You will assist in the development of processes and procedures for manual updating and patching of system software

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases
This position may require shift work, weekend, holiday work, overtime and irregular hours
This is a Mission Essential position
This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code (461), proficiency level (Intermediate)
You are required to have information technology (IT) related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, Problem Solving
In addition to your experience demonstrating the four competencies above you are required to have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position
Performing Maintenance of computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary
At a minimum, all CES employees in the Professional Work Category require a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
