Responsibilities

Operational testing of product including but not limited to operating times, operating voltage, dielectric, and insulation resistance. Test and adjust units to meet all in-shop final test FTP specifications and established procedures
JSTD-001 Military Spec. Soldering Procedures
Be able to read and understand overall drawing, test specifications, FTP and ATP reports required
Read, interpreted and followed written test instructions and procedures to accurately test products
Must be able to utilize a wide variety of measurement instruments, hand tools, and gauges to check parts to verify compliance to quality specifications
Conducted tests and diagnostic procedures using tools such as analyzers, multimeters and power supplies
Repaired faults, reassembled products and completed additional tests
Maybe required to operate mass spectrometers when required
Maybe required to operate ESS equipment when required
Supported, implemented and helped shape test approach by identifying solutions to recurring issues
Checked color, shape, texture and grade of products and materials against established templates, charts and samples
Be able to operate in a team environment with work sharing, team problem solving, and team acceptance of responsibility
Train other employees as needed

Required

High school diploma or GED required
Must be eligible to work under ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wire schematics accurately
Proficient in the safe and correct use of measuring instruments, hand tools, soldering Iron and power tools
Must clear background check and drug screening
Completed ESD training per OP 1707
Solder certification per OP 1701
Testing certification per OP 1704
J-STD-001 IPC-620
If an individual is not certified as a tester but is awarded the bid because there are no other fully qualified bidders, they must pass the tester certification class on their first attempt. Failure to pass the tester certification class on the first attempt will result in disqualification
