Sr. Financial Analyst - Supply Chain Finance

Gates Corporation is a leading manufacturer of application-specific fluid power and power transmission solutions. They are seeking a Senior Analyst – Supply Chain Finance who will serve as a key financial partner to the North America supply chain leadership team, focusing on supply chain finance and operational insights to drive efficiency and transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead supply chain and distribution center financial analysis, including inventory, freight, 3PL spend, warehouse labor, cost-to-serve, and network transformation scenarios
Support period close, forecasting, and budget cycles for supply chain, distribution centers, and logistics functions
Analyze operational data to identify variances, cost drivers, and productivity opportunities across manufacturing sites and DCs
Build and maintain robust financial models & business cases for DC footprint optimization, capital investment, transportation strategies, and new supply chain initiatives
Prepare insightful dashboards, scorecards, and executive-ready reports using Power BI and advanced Excel analytics
Partner with supply chain, logistics, procurement, and SIOP teams to align operational execution with financial goals
Conduct financial impact assessments for major supply chain initiatives, such as network redesign, outsourcing decisions, and WMS implementations
Provide financial and operational insights to support continuous improvement, warehouse efficiency initiatives, cost-reduction programs, and service-level optimization
Support evaluation and business cases for new DC openings/closures, automation, material handling equipment, and other network capital investments
Serve as a project leader or key stakeholder on cross-functional supply chain transformation initiatives and supply chain systems upgrades
Support project planning, including timelines, cost/benefit analysis, ROI evaluation, resource tracking, and risk management
Ensure milestone execution, financial accuracy, and delivery of operational and financial KPIs
Influence stakeholders across supply chain, finance, IT, and partners to drive alignment and successful implementation
Design, develop, and administer Power BI datasets, data models, and dashboards for North America Finance & SIOP teams
Build automated reporting solutions that provide real visibility into KPIs such as DC productivity, freight cost trends, inventory health, and supply chain performance
Implement strong data validation and governance processes to ensure integrity across systems
Train and support finance and operations teams in adopting BI tools and analytical best practices

Required

Experience in implementing a warehouse management system (SAP or Oracle preferred)
7-10 years of experience in financial planning & analysis within the supply chain function, 3PL, & industrial manufacturing sector
Proven project management experience with a track record of successfully leading and completing complex projects
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Power BI, with the ability to create advanced data visualizations and reports
Strong team player; proactively able to step in to support other team members as needed and share knowledge to allow cross-training of all functions
Self-starter who takes action beyond specific job responsibilities and assignments, with a strong desire for continuous learning and does not shy away from being a change agent
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting, ensuring that insights and recommendations are based on reliable data and thorough analysis
High-Level interpersonal skills; must be able to work across multiple levels and locations within the company, including establishing global partnerships
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Results-oriented, able to meet deadlines under high-pressure timelines
Highly proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Ability to quickly learn various software applications; including but not limited to Oracle Hyperion and IBM Cognos Business Intelligence
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred

Graduate degree, CSCP, CPIM, CPSM, or CPA highly preferred
