Houston Office - Summer Associate (IP Litigation)
Winston & Strawn LLP is currently accepting applications from first-year law students interested in IP Litigation for summer associate positions. Candidates will participate in both summer programs and should possess strong academic credentials, analytical skills, and a technical degree.

Responsibilities
Full participation in both programs is required for this specific application
Candidates should possess a record of excellent academic credentials as well as strong analytical, writing and verbal skills
We are specifically looking for candidates who are interested in IP Litigation and also have a technical degree in the field of Electronics or Chemistry or related fields
The firm awards an IP incentive bonus to those with related degrees
Qualification
Required
First-year law student for 1L position (Summer 2026) or second-year law student for 2L position (Summer 2027)
Record of excellent academic credentials
Strong analytical skills
Strong writing skills
Strong verbal skills
Interest in IP Litigation
Technical degree in the field of Electronics (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering) or Chemistry (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology) or related fields
Submission of resume
Submission of undergraduate transcript (unofficial copy will be accepted)
Submission of law school transcript (submission will be required once grades have been released)
Submission of cover letter (recommended to comment on department interest and share reason(s) for choosing this office location)
