Regional Sales Manager

The Sales Manager – Masterbatch will drive sales, develop new business, and manage key accounts within the masterbatch segment, ensuring customer satisfaction and collaboration with technical teams.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a sales strategy to expand market share for color and additive masterbatch products
Identify new business opportunities, build relationships with potential clients, and convert leads into sales
Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups, proposals, and closing of deals
Negotiate pricing and contract terms to meet both customer needs and company profitability goals
Must possess excellent organization, prioritization and follow-up skills
Strong communication skills and relationship management skills
Maintain and grow relationships with key clients, acting as the primary point of contact for product inquiries, orders, and customer service
Understand customer needs and work closely with the technical and production teams to offer customized solutions
Monitor customer satisfaction, address any concerns, and ensure long-term partnerships
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences in the masterbatch and plastics industry
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional strategies, sales materials, and product positioning
Provide feedback to R&D and production teams on market demands, trends, and opportunities for new product development
Work with cross-functional teams, including production, R&D, and quality control, to ensure customer specifications and delivery timelines are met
Provide sales forecasts and contribute to the company’s strategic planning by offering insights into market trends and opportunities
Track sales performance metrics and regularly report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, client retention, and market share growth
Set sales targets for the region or territory and ensure achievement of these targets
Prepare detailed reports on sales activities, customer feedback, and competitive analysis
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related field
5+ years of sales experience in the compounding plastic masterbatch industry, specifically in color and additive products
Strong knowledge of masterbatch formulations and applications across various industries such as packaging, automotive, and consumer goods
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment
Familiar with CRM systems; Proficient in Microsoft Office
Willing to travel 50% of the time
Motivated, ambitious and self-driven
Able to work independently
Understanding of plastic processing methods such as extrusion, injection molding, thermoforming, film & sheet and blow molding
Familiarity with color matching, polymer additives, and masterbatch production
Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build long-lasting customer relationships
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into sales solutions
Self-motivated, with strong time management and organizational skills
