Responsibilities

Play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of mission critical field activities and optimizing efficiency by utilizing academic principles gained in educational courses in a dynamic professional setting

Demonstrate an aptitude for Networking and/or Radio Frequency

Provide technical support on specialized telecommunications systems and public safety product applications

Maintain and document complex communications systems

Provide weekly reports of activities and accomplishments

Develop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered as part of system maintenance, upgrades or support issues

Continuous training in the latest technologies and troubleshooting techniques

Qualification

Required

Must be a current student attending a 2 year program or a 4 year program at a college, university, or technical school

Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract

Must possess a current and valid driver's license and have a clean driving record

Preferred

Actively pursuing a certification in Security+, Network+, CCNA, or NRS1

Knowledge of wired communications systems, such as local area networks (LAN) and wide-area networks (WAN)

Computer network installation, configuration, and maintenance systems to include cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, and bridges

R.F. interfaces and systems such as transmitters, receivers, and antenna networks

Standard telephony, dedicated data circuits, and packet switching techniques

Logging recording systems

Experience working with RF Infrastructure Technologies to include Motorola SmartZone, Smartnet, Console Systems, ASTRO Conventional and Trunked equipment is strongly preferred
