Sample Preparation: Preparing and handling samples for testing, which may involve measuring, mixing, and diluting substances

Equipment Operation: Operating and maintaining laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning properly

Conducting Experiments: Performing experiments according to established protocols and recording observations and results meticulously

Data Analysis: Analyzing experimental data to draw conclusions and report findings, often using statistical software or analytical techniques

Required

Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science)

Experience working in a laboratory environment

Proficiency in a range of analytical techniques and instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC-MS, NMR, spectroscopy)

Familiarity with software for data analysis (e.g., Excel, MATLAB, or specialized laboratory software)

Understanding of organic and inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, and chemical engineering principles as they relate to product development and formulation

Knowledge of laboratory safety practices, hazardous materials handling, and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, TSCA)

Ability to critically analyze experimental data, troubleshoot issues, and recommend innovative solutions in a fast-paced R&D environment

Strong written and verbal communication abilities to effectively document research findings, prepare technical reports, and present results to both scientific and non-scientific audiences

Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with colleagues across various functions, including engineering, quality assurance, and marketing

Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail in experimental design, documentation, and data analysis

Working knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and analytical methods is essential
