Drug Testing Technician

IMPOWER is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening individuals and families through behavioral health, child well-being, and supportive services. We are seeking both a Male and Female Drug Testing Technician to support the juvenile Drug Court Program, where you will observe urine collection, ensure accurate documentation, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Accompany participants to the designated testing area and observe urine collection in accordance with program protocols
Complete required paperwork, including chain-of-custody forms, and accurately label and seal specimens
Enter test results and documentation into the designated database system
Read results for IMPOWER specimen cups and record corresponding data
Maintain supply inventory and ensure testing materials are stocked
Maintain a working landline or cellphone with a confidential voicemail checked daily
Respond promptly to supervisor communication per IMPOWER policy
Follow all HIPAA and IMPOWER confidentiality standards
Collaborate professionally with Circuit 18 Lab and other partners
Adhere to IMPOWER ethics, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Perform other duties as assigned to support IMPOWER’s mission

Required

High School Diploma or GED
Ability to pass a Level II background screening (AHCA Clearinghouse + Local Law Check)
Negative multi-panel pre-employment drug screen
Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact with youth and families from diverse backgrounds
Basic computer and data entry skills
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
Ability to work cooperatively with staff, partners, and stakeholders
