Responsibilities
High-level review of Structural design work to ensure every design maintains the highest level of quality and serves as Engineer of Record (EOR) for the most complex projects
Continually develop and improve upon project workflows and standards to ensure each design is consistently excellent
Provide oversight of geotechnical investigations
Provide technical expertise to the CSA design engineering team and other groups within organization, including other Engineer of Record (EOR) and Architect of Record (AOR)
Lead strategic decisions about technologies, materials, and processes, to build reliable buildings and construction that are very cost effective
Ensure design satisfies the construction requirements and is compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations that are relevant to the project
Support construction activities by providing field construction review and design guidance
Provide peer review and mentorship of junior engineers
Ability to guide others and take leadership on projects of varying complexity
Qualification
Required
Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering or equivalent experience
At least 12 years of experience with increasing responsibility
Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) required
Hands-on experience including design, and construction
Ability to adapt, multi-task, and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment with evolving changes in design requirements
Work well under pressure and can work with multiple large teams at same time
Ability to interface and collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam
