FY 26-46 Administrative Assistant II
The Texas Facilities Commission is responsible for managing surplus property programs, and they are seeking an Administrative Assistant II to provide internal administrative support. The role involves scheduling, preparing documents, answering inquiries, and performing general office duties within a standard office environment.

Responsibilities
Arranges the scheduling, transfer, and display of surplus property
Prepares and disseminates information concerning agency programs and services
Prepares, edits, and distributes correspondence, reports, studies, forms, and documents such as gas receipts, fuel logs, auction receipts, and other program records
Answers inquiries regarding policies and procedures, assists other agencies and staff in filling out forms, and provides information to by mail, email, or phone
Performs general office duties such as filing, answering and routing phone calls, routing mail, and ordering and maintaining office supplies
Assists in compiling and entering data for charts, graphs, databases, summaries, or reports
Prepares documents for data entry and enters data into database
Maintains office schedules and appointments and perform some receptionist duties
May perform invoicing functions
May assist with managing and maintaining schedules and travel arrangements
May conduct physical inventories
Performs related work as assigned
Qualification
Required
Graduation from a standard senior high school or completion of GED
Education and experience may be substituted for one another
Ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure of the State of Texas
Skill in the use of personal computers and applicable programs, applications, and systems; and basic office machines and equipment
Knowledge of office procedures; of spelling, punctuation, grammar, and arithmetic; of business or program terminology, methods, and procedures; and of state purchasing policies and procedures
Ability to prepare and maintain records, files, and reports
Ability to perform data entry and retrieval
Ability to provide customer service
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to implement administrative procedures; to interpret rules, regulations, policies, and procedures; and to communicate effectively
Preferred
One (1) year experience in clerical or general office preferred
