Responsibilities

Research and draft legal documents, including non-payment and holdover notices, pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements
Handle complex commercial and residential real estate litigation
Represent landlords, developers, managing agents, investors, and condominium boards in Housing Court and Supreme Court
Attend court appearances, depositions, argue motions, and conduct trials
Participate in marketing activities, including drafting articles and publications
Adhere to all firm policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned on an as-needed basis

Required

High degree of academic achievement with a law degree from an accredited U.S. law school
Active New York State Bar license in good standing
2 - 5 years of Landlord/Tenant litigation experience
Experience in Housing Court and Supreme Court is required
Exceptional analytical, research, and negotiation skills
Collaborative mindset and willingness to tackle all assigned tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other legal software
Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and pride in delivering quality work
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Trial and appellate experience is a plus
Portable book of business is a plus but not required
