Responsibilities

Plans, develops, coordinates and reviews architectural work on a medium size project or assignment in support of a global business unit. Coordinates and interfaces as directed with the day-to-day technical work of personnel

Develops conceptual designs for architectural projects or projects having specialized or unique architectural requirements

Supports preparation of estimates, staffing needs and schedules

Prepares the preparation of discipline estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget, and supports implementation and assists with performance reporting

Reviews and approves key engineering drawings and calculations and bid summaries

Interprets new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performance data

Coordinates with client representatives, as directed, to obtain their approval of architectural aspects of the work

Reviews and approves key design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, and change orders, for the project to which assigned

Mentors architectural personnel by providing on-the-job training for their professional development

Required

Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience

Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM (Building Information Modeling) software, and Construction Cloud or BIM360 model management

Understanding of Architectural systems, building materials and building codes

Have a general knowledge of all other aspects of building construction including: Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Civil, Landscaping, Life Safety Systems, Telecommunications, etc

Familiarity with data center design standards (e.g., TIA-942, Uptime Institute)

Knowledge of LEED certification processes and sustainable design principles

Experience overseeing data center construction projects from conception to completion

Ability to create and manage project budgets and timelines

Experience in negotiating contracts and managing relationships with contractors and vendors

In-depth understanding of local, state, and federal building codes, safety regulations, and zoning laws

Familiarity with environmental impact assessments and compliance procedures

Previous work experience in data center design, construction, or operations

Previous work experience in Semiconductor Fabs or Cleanroom design, construction, or operations

Previous work experience in EV Battery Manufacturing design, construction, or operations

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including IT, facilities management, and operations
